Our Philosophy

Inspired by the resilience of the phoenix

True health is far more than the absence of illness — it is the cultivated resilience to recover from setbacks, adapt to life's challenges, and sustain long‑term well‑being. Our proactive approach focuses on three core pillars.

01

Data‑Driven, Personalised Care

Using clinical data and evidence‑based approaches, we tailor each patient's treatment plan to uniquely optimise health and prevent disease.

02

Patient Education & Engagement

We empower patients with knowledge — fostering a collaborative, transparent relationship that ensures effective follow‑up and long‑term well‑being.

03

Holistic Health Optimisation

Medicine works best when supported by lifestyle infrastructure — we actively prioritise sleep, nutrition, stress reduction, and movement.

The Resilient Synergy difference is combining the absolute latest clinical evidence with an intuitive, deep understanding of our patients' unique needs — creating a true healthcare partnership that drives better outcomes.

Clinical mastery, family warmth

Resilient Synergy is a small, deliberately chosen team — every member shares the same philosophy: treat every patient as an extended family member.

Founder & Director
Principal Practitioner

Dr. KK Naidu

Family Practitioner & Practice Director
MBChB (UCT) · Dip Advanced HIV Management · Dip Child Health · MSc Epidemiology (London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine)

Dr. Naidu has spent over two decades blending cutting‑edge clinical science with compassionate patient care. After graduating from the University of Cape Town in 2002, he earned postgraduate diplomas in Advanced HIV Treatment & Care and Child Health & Paediatrics, followed by a Master of Science in Epidemiology from the prestigious London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.

His distinguished early career focused deeply on paediatric HIV care and vertical transmission prevention research. He went on to lead rural HIV and infectious‑disease treatment programs across KwaZulu‑Natal, overseeing vital clinical research and data management before directing strategic clinical operations across both KZN and the Eastern Cape.

In 2019, driven by a dedication to family and a deep passion for serving his local community, Dr. Naidu intentionally transitioned from large‑scale clinical epidemiology to private family practice, establishing Resilient Synergy within Musgrave, Durban.

I came in worried about my blood pressure. Six months later I'm off two medications, sleeping better, and finally understand what 'health' actually means. Dr Naidu changed how I think about my body.

My elderly mother is treated with such patience and respect. Busi always sits with her and chats while she waits. The whole experience is humane — that's what makes this practice special.

Dr Naidu picked up early signs of pre‑diabetes that two other doctors missed. He literally caught it before it became a problem. I trust him with my entire family's health.

How We Care For You

The Resilient Synergy promise

Our tagline — for optimal, adaptive health and wellness — is more than words. It shapes how we bill, how we triage, and how we protect your information. Three commitments, drawn from the notices on our practice walls and lived out in every consult.

Billing & medical aid

Direct billing where your scheme allows, in your name always — so you stay in the loop.

  • We work directly with your medical aid as per contract agreements.
  • All invoices are issued in your name. If your scheme does not cover the full amount, you'll be responsible for settling the balance.
  • Resilient Synergy @ Dr KK Naidu is part of most medical aid networks. Please check with Irene to confirm your scheme.
  • Currently not covered: Discovery KeyCare, Momentum Ingwe, Health4Me.
  • Payment options: EFT, credit card (Zapper, SnapScan, Yoco — 2% fee), cash, PayShap, Discovery Pay / Health Pay.

Appointments & waiting times

Book ahead or walk in for urgent care — we triage so the sickest are seen first.

  • Consultations are by appointment, but urgent walk-ins are welcome.
  • Please call ahead so we can manage waiting times.
  • Sick children and acutely ill patients are prioritised.
  • If same-day appointments are full, we'll offer a standby slot to ensure you're seen.
  • Triage may cause delays or rescheduling, but we always aim to meet your health needs promptly.

Personal information & POPIA

Your data is private, your consent is required, and your follow-ups are secure.

  • Please confirm your updated phone, email, WhatsApp, and address with Irene.
  • Your information is kept confidential and used only for your medical care.
  • Consent is required for sharing details with medical schemes, administrators, and healthcare providers.
  • Secure communication may include email or WhatsApp for your care and follow-up.
